Definitely under construction–please bear with me!
My name is Vicki. I started calling myself ‘Victorious’ a few years back when I had a run-in with cancer. I found myself using terms like ‘Big C’ when I talked about the cancer and realized I was giving it way more power over me mentally than I wanted. So, I started calling it ‘little c’ and myself ‘Victorious’ (that’s what my given name Victoria means).
I believe God healed me—whether supernaturally or practically through the wonderful medical help I received, I can’t say for sure. But, 7 ½ years later—here I am!
If you are still here, I hope you look around. This blog is meant to share the reality that God exists…He really does…if I write too churchy or weird or you don’t understand where I am going please tell me! That’s why I am using this forum to write. I want it to be a place where you feel comfortable enough to ask about real stuff. My goal is to give you answers from the Scripture. My words are just another human’s thoughts. His WORD is true and lasting and perfect. It is able to heal and to tear apart. For the hurting it is a comfort, for the rebellious it is peace and for the blind it is light.
So, again, welcome! And be BRAVE! Find out what He has to say to us!
Hebrews 4:14-16 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Vicki

Amen, and then some! I hear you…! And, I hear Him through you ❤
Encouraged by your press. My roommate and BFF is one year and four months away from her cancer diagnosis. That's how I always referred to it. In prayer, the Holy Spirit said "there is no cancer," and that is what we stood on despite the process she had to endure. There's nothing like being on the other side of "through"!

Thank you for your comments. Very touched and excited that God could speak to others through me…but that’s what HE does right? Don’t you want to just yell it out sometimes? God you are so cool! You are so gracious to use us! And to think, we still fail, and we are messed UP, and He keeps holding our hands, like little children and He says “c’mon, you can do it! Take a step. I’m right here…”

Thanks Jonathan, I love what my pastor has preached on occasion:”Don’t take your problem to God and say ‘see my big problem?’ Take your GOD to your problem and say ‘SEE MY BIG GOD!'” Fightin’ words!

I also am a cancer survivor, and like you it’s been over 7 years. Here I am! Every breath I take is a gift from God. I like your transparency and clarity on who you are. You also have good sense of humor.

A true privilege to get to know you. I am interested in what drew you to Jesus. The humor comes from raising two daughters who thought it great sport to pick on their mom!

So far it has been more than I expected, in a very positive way. I never dreamed I would enjoy blogging and getting to know so many other people. Writing has a way of getting right to the core of the matter. Face-to-face conversations can be so incredibly superficial. Glad to make your acquaintance Miss Lilipup!
